A New Guild

I was invited to join a new guild. A BIG guild. A very good guild.

The second most progressed Horde guild on the server.

I am honored and humbled.

I accepted.

New Server, New Name

Just wanted to post a quick note and state that I am loving my new server. People are helpful and friendly, rarely any abuse in trade channels or otherwise.
I'm enjoying the game much more in general. The new guild is small but we are working on recruiting. My new name is common, many of them at lvl 80 scattered around. I feel confident I can only be found if I want to be.
Goodbye stress, hello fun.

The Rare Pet Collection Gets Another

The night of September 7 I found myself in Winterspring looking for a druid for my lvl 60 Hunter quest.
I decided to look around and see if Rak'Shiri was by any chance wandering about.

Hopped on over to the Rock only to see an Ally girl doing her quest with Shy Rotem. Damn !! I could've nabbed her and the Ally could've done her quest again. Disappointed I turned around to hop away on my raptor and go look for the druid....... and who's that? Walking behind that cave???
I could not belive in less than 10 minutes of looking, I had Rak !

My stable now consists of my very first pet at level 10, Pyros
Echeyachee, renamed Montecore tamed at lvl 16
Loque'nahak - Matthiessen
Gondria - Lucretia
and now Rak'Shiri

Blizz better not come out with any more Spirit Beasts because I really don't have a stable slot now!

For the record, I don't like Skoll ad will not be persuing him.

Don't help me, I won't help you

There I was, on my own, off to kill a boss and loot his head. I had just done the quest on another toon on another server so I knew exactly where both spawn points were for the boss.

I dashed through the cave and saw a group with their high level tank friend standing on one spawn point. Clearly, the boss was at the OTHER spawn point. I ran through their group, jumped off the cliff they were standing on and made my way through a narrow corridor. There was the boss, on a cliff above me. Ha ! I fired up at him and let him come down to me. He brought some friends and as he died, so did I.

I wisped my way as quickly as possible back to my corpse to loot the head I had rightfully earned. As I ran through the other group I see "Can we join your group so we can loot the head?"

I didn't bother to reply. I killed the boss on my own, the head was mine. I didn't need a high level tank to help me and I didn't recall that group asking ME if I wanted to join them when they thought they were standing in the correct spot.

Remember, poor planning on your part does not necessitate an emergency on mine....

Gotcha you little spectral vixen !!!

Since Sunday night I've been seriously pursuing the tame of Gondria. I've loaded NPC Scan onto the computer to alert me to her presence. I've memorized five of her spawn points and have a system for camping all of them.
I was about 14 hours total into my camp for her last night when it was time to switch spawn points and begin a new camp...
As I flew over to a point, the NPC Scan alerted and I nearly jumped out of my skin.

There she was, GONDRIA - merrily strolling along right below me! (77,68)

I froze, OMG, what do I do? I dismounted from my dragonhawk in mid flight and crashed to the ground. I aimed an ice trap at her and secured her. Abandoned my current pet, a frost leopard whom was temporary anyways and began my tame.

She busted out of her ice block and leaped forward at least 10 yards and smacked me. No worries, the tame continued.

The little red hearts wound down, the yellow spiral went up and there was one very unhappy captured Spirit Beast.

I could barely see her against the snow! I renamed her immediately, an ode to my favorite Sisters of Mercy song and we posed for pictures.

Now Matthissen has a sister!

No More Worgen Combat Pet

Apparently Blizzard has hotfixed the NPC so that he can no longer be tamed, stating that they never intended players to have a humanoid pet.

Players who have already tamed Garwal will find that they have no talents or abilities for him, nor can they feed or buff him rendering him effectively useless except as a vanity pet.

Expect him to be removed even as a vanity pet soon.
